Why did I start Travel with Nicole?

I started Travel with Nicole because travel has been a such a significant part of my life for years and years. And I eventually found helping people get the most out of their vacations turned from a hobby into a true calling.​

A lifetime of exploring

For years, I traveled with my husband and kids across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean, staying in all‑inclusive resorts, family properties, and condos through platforms like AirBnB and VRBO. Along the way, I learned what makes a trip feel effortless, memorable, and special, from the right resort choice to the small details that matter once you arrive. I’ve always loved seeing the world, meeting new people, and hearing their stories, and that human connection has shaped how I look at every vacation experience.

How Desire changed everything

In 2019, I visited Desire for the first time, and that trip sold me on lifestyle vacations. I was amazed with how friendly the guests and staff were, and how easy it was to relax, be yourself, and connect with others without being judged. I fell in love with the energy, the openness, and the sense of community. Since that first visit, I’ve returned more than 17 times. Those repeat trips taught me how Desire works: the daily flow of the resort, the theme nights, the unspoken rules, and what I wished someone had shared with me before I arrived that first trip.

Finding my Bliss at sea

In 2022, I went on my first Bliss Cruise on the Celebrity Reflection, a couples‑only lifestyle cruise that I was introduced to by a friend I had met at Desire. It had everything I loved about lifestyle resorts; the friendly people, freedom to dress how (and how much) I wanted all combined with the fun and amenities of a full cruise experience. Since that first sailing, I’ve been on two Bliss cruises a year, which has allowed me to experience different itineraries, ships, and amazing vacation after vacation from a traveler’s point of view. That lived experience is a big part of why I feel so confident guiding others through their own Bliss experiences.

Growing a community first

Before Travel with Nicole was ever a business, I was already helping people every day with their lifestyle vacations. I run several social media groups on Facebook and Telegram focused on Bliss Cruises and Desire vacations, where I spend a lot of time answering questions and sharing advice. In those groups, I’ve helped people understand what to expect, how the clothing‑optional and lifestyle aspects work, and how to choose the right trip for their comfort level. I also love talking about the practical details: packing for theme nights, what’s appropriate to wear where, and how to navigate each resort or ship so they feel prepared when they arrive for their vacation experience.

Turning passion into Travel with Nicole

Over time, I realized I was essentially doing the work of a lifestyle travel advisor: listening, educating, reassuring, and guiding people toward vacations that truly fit them. I found real joy in helping couples feel excited rather than nervous, and watching them come back from their trips with huge smiles and stories of their own. That’s when the idea for Travel with Nicole really clicked—why not take my years of personal experience with Desire, Bliss Cruises, and other destinations and turn it into a dedicated, specialized travel service?

Travel with Nicole was born out of that combination of lived experience and a genuine love of helping people. I don’t just want to book your room or cabin; I want to help you feel informed, comfortable, and thrilled about your lifestyle vacation from the moment you start planning until the moment you get home.
